'Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose in the present moment and without judgement' (Kabat-Zinn, 1990). Mindfulness is a type of mental training which allows us to cultivate awareness.
This workshop provides attendees with the basics of starting and continuing a mindfulness practice.
Mindfulness has been connected to reduced stress, improved well-being, improved physical health and improved mental health. Organizations are implementing mindfulness programs to improve staff morale, improve employee efficiency & productivity, decrease human resource infractions and improve creativity. Schools are implementing mindfulness to improve self-esteem, decrease bullying, improve concentration, improve mental health, improve physical health and reduce stress of both students and teachers.
